As founder of Infibusiness Solution, I had the opportunity to build an outstanding website design team. I started Infibusiness Solution with an aim to create innovative websites for my clients. I am writing this blog to share my tips and techniques for selecting and managing team members, and help them to improve their skills and apply on productive works.
Well, it really difficult to find potential employees, who is ready to work with a startup company. I always look for self-motivated person and who is ready to take any challenge. To hire a good team member require lot of time and patience.
Below are basic things, I follow to hire team members for my design team.
- Ready to work in team.
A candidate who knows about startups and website design works will be more suitable to find place in team. A person must be fully aware about team working environment and organization.
- Never hire seniors
As a startup, fund is the main issue so focus to select a fresher candidate with full of energy and motivated to work with team. Fresher are willing to learn and grow. They are just looking for opportunity to show their potential and creativity. With experienced developers or designers sometimes egos/stubborn get in way of team cooperation.
- Social Network
Use social media to get in contact with young web designer and ask them to forward their work. If you find person who is ready to learn new things and wanted to be a part of your web design team, then it is very easy to evolve him as a designer.
Once, you found and hired some great designer, your task just begun. Some advice for cultivating the skills and talents of team members. Always help them in learning.
- Encourage them to learn and improve.
A young designer is always ready to take challenges, but it is highly required to train them properly before you burden them with lots of works. If young designers acquire good knowledge during training, then he can provide more than expected good work. A fresher must be self-driven desire to learn and hard working.
- Praise good work
Always praise employee for their excellent work, it helps to boost their working spirit. A little compliment encouraged him to do more awesome work.
- Be a mentor
Every growing designer needs great source of inspiration, a visionary who can guide their concepts until they master their own skills. Mentor plays a very role in developing a successful professional. A good leader can encourage person to increase creativity and innovation.
- Review work
Daily review work of young designer and rate their work. Its highly necessary for learners who is ready to bring great work in future. Reviewing their work help them in their self-improvement and skills.
A good team can bring great achievements and creativity. To maintain a good working atmosphere within a team, encourage communication and engage them with work. Guide them properly with workflow, schedules and procedures. Commitment, dedication and hard work must be awarded and its good idea to give a team member who has recently bring glory to firm. Arrange picnics, dinner or party after a big project is successfully finished.
There is no place for a single man, a team is highly necessary to achieve great things
